Chapter 12 - Three Fun Filled Days in Sunny San Diego

Hi again -  We left off visiting family in Arizona and Nevada. O n May 11, we were off to California with the intent to drive the Pacific Coast Highway or Historic Route 101. We went to San Diego for three days...c learly not enough time for such a great place.  W e will definitely return for a longer visit next time. On May 12, we went to Coronado Island and loved it!    We walked around a corner and saw the most beautiful historic home across from the beach.    The red roof and Queen Anne style were stunning! Corp made me take the lower right photo because he thought the payloader in the background was funny! The Hotel Coronado is in the background.  Beautiful place and space! We were yelled at when walking on the beach outside of the Hotel Coronado.    Turns out we were entering a part of the beach that is located on a Navy Seals training base.    Maybe they should mark it as a “do not enter” area instead of yelling at people. Chapter 11 - Family Time in Arizona and Nevada

Hi – In the last blog, we left off crossing the border in Nogales, AZ on May 2.   Our first stop was visiting my 87-year-old Great Aunt Jane in Green Valley, AZ.     Funny thing…she was selling her house on May 5 and moving close to us in Minnesota. The photo below shows my great aunt's neighbor Rick.  She had a strong dislike for the guy for a lot of reasons.  As a joke, we wanted to take a pic of him, frame it, and give it to her in MN in case she missed him.  LOL When Corp started taking photos Rick flipped him off.   Corp so wanted a picture of that but wasn't fast enough. My Aunt Julie flew down to drive my Great Aunt back to Minnesota. Enjoying margaritas with my Aunt Julie and Great Aunt Jane. We visited Desert Meadows Park and saw a ton of different varieties of cacti.
